What are the extra benefits of a plan from MyAdvocate Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Part C, offer extra benefits beyond Original Medicare coverage. These benefits can help you stay healthy and make the most of your c.
What is Medicare Advantage?
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private health insurance companies that administer your Original Medicare benefits. You’re still in the Medicare program, with Medicare rights and protections. As an all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans provide complete Medicare Part A and Part B coverage, along with extra benefits at no extra cost.
Benefits of Medicare Advantage plans
MyAdvocate Medicare Advantage plans give you easy access to the health services you need, plus more to support your health and wellness, including:
- A Healthy Benefits+TM flex card with an allowance for over-the-counter items and dental, hearing and vision expenses. It can be used for expenses from cold and flu medicine to hearing aids. Plus, the flex card is as simple to use as a credit card wherever Visa® is accepted for eligible products and expenses.
- Dental benefits with access to the largest network of dental providers in the U.S. and coverage for routine dental care, including cleanings and exams twice a year and X-rays once a year.
- Hearing benefits for a covered annual hearing aid evaluation.
- Vision benefits for a covered annual eye exam and reimbursement for eyewear or contacts.
- Over-the-counter benefits using your flex card with a quarterly allowance for over-the-counter products from retailers such as Walgreens or Walmart. You can also purchase products online to save you time.
- Fitness incentives to help you prioritize your wellness with access to a variety of fitness options, including exercising at a fitness center or from home.
What else should I know about Medicare Advantage?
Unlike Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans have an out-of-pocket maximum each year for covered services, helping protect you from excessive annual health care costs.
With a Medicare Advantage plan, you’ll also most likely need to see health care providers from the plan’s network. Some, but not all, Part C plans offer out-of-network coverage but for a higher out-of-pocket cost.
