Roll Up Your Sleeves—It’s Time to Get Vaccinated
No matter how old you are, staying up to date on your vaccines helps reduce your risk for serious, preventable illnesses and helps protect the people around you from getting sick. Most vaccines are available during routine doctor visits or at your local pharmacy, making it convenient to stay protected. And with your MyAdvocate Medicare Advantage plan, many of the vaccines are covered with no cost to you.
Getting vaccinated is your best defense.

Common vaccines you may need:
- Annual flu shots: Recommended for everyone 6 months and older
- COVID-19: Recommended for everyone 6 months and older based on shared decision-making with their provider
- Pneumococcal: Recommended for all adults 50 years and older to protect against pneumonia, meningitis and bloodstream infections
- Shingles: Recommended for adults 50 years and older. Two shots, typically separated by 2 to 6 months
- Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis): Recommended for those 11 years and older. Boosters are recommended at least every 10 years
- Hepatitis B: Recommended for adults ages 19-59 and adults 60 and older who have high risk factors for Hepatitis B
- Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV): Recommended for adults 75 and older, adults ages 50-74 who are at increased risk for severe respiratory illness due to chronic medical conditions such as heart or lung disease, and pregnant people between weeks 32 and 36 of their pregnancy
